• If dealer hits soft 17 (H17): double 11 vs A (not hit); double A,7 vs 2 (not stand); double A,8 vs 5–6 (not stand); you may also surrender 16 vs A if LS is offered.
• If no double after split (no DAS): do not split 4,4 vs 5–6 (hit instead). Also consider hitting 2,2 and 3,3 vs 2–3.
• If no surrender (no LS): for any R/H or R/S cell, use the second move shown.
• 8,8: most players split vs any upcard. Some charts allow surrender 8,8 vs 10 in LS games. The edge gap is small. Split is the simple rule.
