What is collected

The site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no comment form and no newsletter, so there is nothing for you to sign up to and nothing for us to store about you.

Server logs

The web server keeps ordinary access logs — address, time, page requested, browser string — as any web server does. They are used to keep the site running and are not combined with anything else.

Other sites

Pages link out to other sites, including Wikimedia Commons for photograph licences. Once you follow a link, that site’s own policy applies.

What the pages themselves load

Every page on this site is a file served as it was built. There is no tracking script of our own, no advertising exchange, no social widget and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The stylesheet and the images come from this domain. Fonts are the ones already installed on your device rather than files fetched from a third party, which is why the site renders before anything else finishes loading.

Cookies

The site sets none. If your browser shows a cookie for this domain, it came from something in front of the site rather than from the site itself — a network provider or a security layer may set one to route requests. Nothing on these pages reads such a cookie, and nothing we do depends on one existing.

Links out

Some pages link to other sites, including Wikimedia Commons for photograph licences and, on a small number of pages carried over from the old site, to partners of that site. Following a link hands you over to somebody else’s policy, and we have no control over what they collect. Links are marked as links and are never disguised as part of the text.

Archive pages

Pages written for the previous version of this site are kept at their original addresses. A few of them mention forms, email addresses or payment methods that no longer work, and each of those pages says so at the top. Nothing on them collects anything: they are static text, the forms are gone, and the addresses in them are not monitored.

Children

The site is aimed at adult readers of basketball coverage. It has no sign-up of any kind, so it neither asks for nor stores an age, a name or an email address from anyone.

Changes to this page

If what the site does ever changes — if it gains a newsletter, a comment form or a measurement script — this page changes with it and says what changed. It is not a document we intend to keep vague so that it never needs editing.
