Everything here came out of the archive of the old site and was re-set, not rewritten: the wording, the numbers and the dates are the ones that were filed at the time. The desk keeps the pages because the links to them are still live and because the record is worth having in one place.

This is the desk that carries the club itself: what happened at the game, who was signed, who was hurt, what somebody said afterwards and what it turned out to mean. Most of it was filed the same night or the next morning, which is why the pieces are short and why they read as a sequence rather than as separate articles. Taken one at a time they are fragments; read in order they are the season.

Nothing on the desk is updated after the fact. Where a report says a deal is close, that was the state of it on the day of filing, and what actually happened is on whichever piece came next. That is deliberate: a desk that quietly rewrites its own record stops being a record. Corrections carry their own date and say what changed.
