Andrei Kirilenko Traded to Philadelphia

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Andrei Kirilenko, a 2020 second round pick, and the right to swap 2018 second round picks will be traded to the 76ers for Brandon Davies.

Rumors are that another player will be added to the deal and it could be Jorge Gutierrez. The 76ers are expected to cut Kirilenko. The Nets will keep Davies to see how he performs under his non guaranteed contract.

Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News reported that the Nets are looking to add a young athletic wing with the open roster spot. That player is yet to be determined, but one possibility is Tyrus Thomas.

This trade saves approximately $11M from the Nets luxury tax bill. Brooklyn will also receive a $3.3M trade exception that may be used for a bigger deal.

Sources also report that another deal may be coming soon, a bigger trade that may involve one of Brook Lopez, Deron Williams or Joe Johnson.
