This desk exists because a large part of what a reader actually needs has nothing to do with basketball: how the arena is laid out, what the transport looks like on a weekday night, which of the things that seem to matter about a seat really do. It is written for somebody who is going rather than for somebody who is watching.

What this desk deliberately avoids is anything that dates within a season. It quotes no prices, links to no sellers and reproduces no seating chart, because all three change and an out-of-date answer is worse than none. Where the current state of something is only available from the club or the building, the piece says so and sends you there instead of guessing.
