The publisher

Nets Daily News is published by Moonrill Digital FZ-LLC, whose registered office is at Loft Office 1, Dubai Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and which is responsible for what appears under the Nets Daily News name: the basketball desks, the archive carried over from the original site, and the general-news desk at Newsroom. Its business here is publishing. It does not sell tickets, merchandise, subscriptions or memberships, and it has no role in running any team, league, venue or club.

Reporting, not advice

What we write is journalism and commentary for a general readership. A column about cap space is an opinion about cap space; it is not financial guidance, and a piece about a contract dispute or a court ruling is not legal guidance. Where an article touches money, health, the law or any other area in which people take professional advice, read it as background and take that advice from someone qualified who knows your situation. Nothing on the site is written with any individual reader in mind, and nothing here creates a professional relationship between you and the publisher.

Scores, statistics and rule numbers

Figures on the basketball desks — box scores, season averages, salaries, draft positions, rule numbers and court dimensions — are taken from the sources named beside them, chiefly the league’s own records and the NBA Official Rulebook. We read them back before a page goes up, but sources revise their numbers, stat providers disagree with one another, and a figure that was right on the day of filing can be wrong a season later. If an exact number matters to you, go to the source we cite rather than relying on our copy of it.

Opinion is labelled as opinion

The Opinion desk, columns and analysis pieces carry the view of the person who wrote them. A prediction about a trade, a ranking of players or a verdict on a coach is an argument, not a statement of fact, and the publisher does not adopt every view printed on the site as its own. Reporting and comment are kept on separate desks so that a reader can tell one from the other.

The archive

Pages written for the earlier version of the site, between 2014 and 2016, are kept at their original addresses because readers and other sites still link to them. They are published as filed and say so at the top. Some of them describe staff positions, partnerships, forms, ticket offers or contact routes that ended long ago; those passages are historical and are not offers or promises made by the current publisher. Figures and opinions in the archive describe the moment they were written in.

The Newsroom desk

Newsroom carries general news outside basketball: business, property, regulation, technology and the people involved in them. Pieces on that desk keep the wording, the figures and the outbound links they were published with. Some are paid publications supplied by third parties, and the claims and links in them belong to whoever supplied the piece. Details of the arrangement are under Paid content. A piece on Newsroom is not a recommendation of any product, service or company it mentions, and where it concerns a regulated activity it is for you to check whether that activity is lawful where you live.

Photographs

Every photograph on the site is a copy of an image from Wikimedia Commons, credited to its author and reused under the licence named in its caption. Captions describe what the frame shows; unless the source says so, they do not claim that a photograph comes from a particular game or season. If you hold the rights to an image and the credit or licence is wrong, write to us and it will be fixed or the image taken down.

Names and trade marks

Nets Daily News has no connection with the Brooklyn Nets, BSE Global, the National Basketball Association or any player, agent or broadcaster mentioned on the site, and none of them has approved or sponsored our coverage. Club, league, arena and product names are trade marks held by others, printed purely so that a story names its subject.

Other websites

Articles link out to leagues, newspapers, data providers, image libraries and, on Newsroom, to the websites of companies that commissioned or are named in a piece. We do not run those sites, cannot vouch for their content or their availability, and are not responsible for how they treat your information. Once you follow a link, the terms of the site you arrive at apply.
