Every piece the desk filed on Nets, newest first.

104 pieces, filed between and

What you are looking at is the whole of the label “Nets”: 104 pieces, in the order they were filed, most recent at the top. There is no article behind this address. It exists because the name does, and because links made to it years ago still arrive.

Everything on the list was filed in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The dates under the headlines are the dates the pieces went up and they have not been touched since: an archive that quietly re-dates itself is worth less than one that admits how old it is.

The pieces below are filed on Nets, so the desk is the better place to read around them: it puts them next to everything else on the same subject instead of only next to the ones that happen to share a name.

What this page does not do is rank, score or recommend. There is no order of merit on it, no rating attached to any of the pieces and no summary that claims to stand in for reading them. An index earns its keep by being complete and straight about its dates, not by editorialising over the top of them.

Brooklyn Nets: Why Playoff Hopes Are Still Alive

Amidst a season with low expectations, high hopes and unbridled determination, a Brooklyn Nets team that started their season with seven straight losses now sits at 6-15 through six weeks of the regular season.

Live by the Three, Die by the Three

We are now seven games into the season, but one thing seems abundantly clear: defense remains a major issue. It’s a rarity to see them string together consecutive defensive stops, but more alarming is the fact that they’re giving up a high percentage of the shot worth the most points: the three-pointer.

Grading the Brooklyn Nets Offseason | Page 12 of 12

With the season starting today for the new-look Nets, it should be interesting to see whether the changes they made this offseason will help the team in the long run. Overall, I think the Nets made some moves in the right direction that can hopefully help the Nets make the postseason for the fourth straight season.

Grading the Brooklyn Nets Offseason

The Brooklyn Nets have made the playoffs for three consecutive seasons, but ultimately they have nothing to show for it. The Nets have made a number of costly, short-term moves in recent years in an attempt to spark a deeper playoff run, but have ultimately failed.

The Best Role for Joe Johnson

Billy King, a general manager known for his willingness to make an abundance of roster transactions, seemed to have gone into overdrive this past offseason. With the “Five Year Plan” in the hindsight of the organization, King did his best to bring in players that were athletic, young and most importantly for Brooklyn, affordable.

Can The Brooklyn Nets Contend for a Playoff Spot? | Page 5 of 5

The Nets have come a long way out of their financial purgatory, and have relieved themselves of the “old” tag that was associated with their brand. Based on where they started, they’ve made miles of progress, but based on the rate at which the East is improving, they’ve still got some work to do if they want to be considered a threat.

Stability begins with Young

General Manager Billy King has made many roster moves over years that have not worked out on the basketball court and have hurt the future of the team. Despite all the bad moves that Billy King has made throughout his tenure as a General Manager of the Brooklyn Nets, there was one deal he made recently that will benefit the future of the team.

Home is where the heartbreak is

A season that started with much promise and hopeful expectations has quickly turned into a frustrating one for the Brooklyn Nets. Home stands and road trips have often started with a big run or a signature win, only to quickly fizzle out, creating one more setback, another missed chance.
