Anderson to Leave Brooklyn for $4 Mil in Washington
Alan Anderson is D.C.-bound after testing his free agency options and accepting a one-year, $4 million offer from the Washington Wizards.
The move won’t be official until Thursday, July 9, but Anderson’s agent (Mark Bartelstein) confirmed the news with the Associated Press, according to ESPN.com.
Averaging 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and shooting 44.3 % overall with the Nets last season, Anderson’s defensive prowess and his efficiency from the 3-point line (where he averaged 34.8 % during the regular season) will be missed in Brooklyn.
The $4 million Anderson is projected to make next season is more money than he’s earned throughout his NBA career thus far.
