59 pieces, filed between and

An index, and an honest one. There are 59 pieces under the label “Deron Williams”, and the list holds all of them — nothing left out to keep the page tidy, nothing added to make it look fuller than it is.

By date the list sits in 2014 and 2015, and its heaviest single year is 2015 with 43 pieces. That shape belongs to the archive rather than to an editorial decision made afterwards.

The name survives from the old site; the desk that took its work over is Opinion, and the full map of desks with their counts is on the section index.

There is no editorial layer on this page at all — no rating, no ranking, no note steering you towards one item over another. The order is chronological and that is the whole of it.

Grading the Brooklyn Nets Offseason | Page 12 of 12

With the season starting today for the new-look Nets, it should be interesting to see whether the changes they made this offseason will help the team in the long run. Overall, I think the Nets made some moves in the right direction that can hopefully help the Nets make the postseason for the fourth straight season.

Grading the Brooklyn Nets Offseason

The Brooklyn Nets have made the playoffs for three consecutive seasons, but ultimately they have nothing to show for it. The Nets have made a number of costly, short-term moves in recent years in an attempt to spark a deeper playoff run, but have ultimately failed.

The Buyout of Deron Williams: Addition By Subtraction

For a group that got considerably younger in comparison to last season, (nearly a 3-year drop in average age) one of the keys to success this year will be camaraderie. As a core of young players grabbing at the chance to prove that they belong in this league, the team will undoubtedly go through difficult stretches in the season. They lack experience, but they’ll aim to make up for it with heart and hustle.

Can The Brooklyn Nets Contend for a Playoff Spot? | Page 5 of 5

The Nets have come a long way out of their financial purgatory, and have relieved themselves of the “old” tag that was associated with their brand. Based on where they started, they’ve made miles of progress, but based on the rate at which the East is improving, they’ve still got some work to do if they want to be considered a threat.

Why addition by subtraction helps the Nets

It’s been a productive and surprising off-season so far for General Manager Billy King and the Brooklyn Nets. With seemingly few assets and fewer avenues to navigate, King has managed to meet the major objectives presented to him this off-season.

The Nets look like a playoffs team, finally

Spring has arrived late this year and the Winter thaw refuses to unclench its final grips on the city. However, much like previous seasons, the Nets appear to be warming up just in time to make a late season push to the playoffs.

Nets win, despite late surge from the Magic

The Brooklyn Nets halted a late Orlando Magic comeback and began 2015 with a win, improving to .500 (16-16) for the first time this season since mid-November. The Nets saw a 26-point lead crumble in the fourth quarter, but were able to leave Orlando with a 100-98 victory over the Magic.

Trading D-Will to the Kings doesn’t make sense

What are the Nets thinking as an organization? Nowadays, no one knows. Going into Brooklyn, the plan was to put together a team that could compete right off the bat and make the playoffs for the first time since 2006-07 season.

What is wrong with the Brooklyn Nets?

To be honest, a lot of things are wrong with the Brooklyn Nets right now. Since coming off back to back wins against the Knicks and Spurs on December 2nd and 3rd, the Nets have 3 of the last 4 games in embarrassing fashion.
