Nets Announce 2015–2016 Regular Season Schedule

Yesterday, the Nets released their full 2015-2016 schedule, and it’s an interesting one to say the least. After opening the season at the Barclay’s Center against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls, the team will head to Texas and face the San Antonio Spurs.

Fans will have to wait until the week of Christmas, though, to witness the highly anticipated return of Deron Williams to the Barclay’s Center (Dec. 23); that’s when he and the Dallas Mavericks are scheduled to play against the Nets for the first of only two games next season.

What will likely be a much more welcome return will come a month later when Mason Plumlee and the Trailblazers make their ’15-’16 season debut at Barclay’s (Jan. 15). Also noteworthy: we get to see Mirza Teletovic step onto Brooklyn’s court again on December 1st alongside the Phoenix Suns.

After playing a long 10-day, 6-game stretch of Home games in December (starting on the 6th against the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors, and ending on the 16th vs. the Miami Heat), the Nets will have an even longer bout of Away games from February 23rd to March 11th. During that time, they’ll play against 9 teams including the Portland Trailblazers, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Toronto Raptors.

As for when the team will face their neighbors across the bridge, we’ll see the Knicks and Nets battle it out four times throughout next season: twice at Barclay’s and as many times at Madison Square Garden.
