Why the Nets would do it: The addition of Mario Chalmers’ helps the Nets shed cap space while adding a capable backup point guard. In this year’s deep draft, the Nets would love to get their hands on another second round draft pick, even if that means that the team would have to spend a little more money.
Why the Heat would do it: Mario Chalmers’ shooting percentage and three-point shooting percentage have been down and it is clear that he is not going to be anything more than a role player in the NBA. Jarrett Jack is a definite upgrade for the team and the uncertainty of Wade and Dragic makes him an excellent addition to the team.
