Predicting Brooklyn Nets' Starting Five
The Brooklyn Nets have made plenty of changes this offseason in an attempt to become younger and more athletic. However, with the acquisitions of young talent and new signings comes new competition for a starting positions for the Nets.
Who will make the starting five for the Nets in light of the recent offseason additions?

Agree that those will be the starting 5 that Hollins plans to use (as of today), except both Hollins and I feel that Bogs is better suited as the SG and the stronger, slower Johnson as the SF. Just based on last season, JJ played mostly SF and Bogs at SG. I see Brown glued to the bench, unless someone is injured.
And an Iso-Joe is better suited as a SF, focusing on rebounding and penetrating into the paint for high percentage 2 pointers with Bojan on the perimeter for the 3 pointer.
Save Bojan for cuts to the basket.Now where I disagree with you and Hollins, is that I’m going to be rooting for a strong pre-season for RJH, so that he can start at SF, as Lopez, the new Bogs and Jack have enough offense, to be able to reduce JJ’s minutes. I’d rather see JJ playing 10 minutes of the 4th quarter and 3 minutes of the 1st quarter.
Its total minutes that count with JJ reduced to 32-35 minutes, so that he won’t fade at the end of the season. So although I want to see RHJ start, I don’t see him playing more than about 15 minutes per game at beginning of season.
And I’m one of the bigger fans of Jack, although he’s going to have to listen to Hollins and make some changes with the use of the shot clock and passing more. Nets were 7-6 when Jack started and DWill was the competent backup (Jack didn’t have to play 45 mpg when there was a competent backup). Larkin and either Sloan or Boatright will be competent.
