Nets, Thunder near deal centered around Brook Lopez and Reggie Jackson

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Brooklyn Nets are on the verge of completing a deal to send center Brook Lopez to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a package that includes guard Oklahoma City guard Reggie Jackson.

“The Nets and Thunder are discussing a deal that would include center Kendrick Perkins, forward Perry Jones and Jackson joining the Nets, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

There are several more moving parts in Nets-Thunder trade talks, league sources said.

Minnesota and Philadelphia are part of a broader possible deal, league sources said. The Nets are trying to persuade Kevin Garnett to accept a deal to the Timberwolves, bringing them back Thaddeus Young.

One proposed extension of the deal would include the Nets sending guard Jarrett Jack to the Washington Wizards, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.”

Reggie Jackson has reportedly turned down a four-year, $48 million extension from the Thunder, and is expecting to sign an extension worth approximately $13-14 million/year. According to league officials, it is likely that he will sign an extension with the Brooklyn Nets and stay with the team long-term.
