Leading up to the 2015 NBA draft, Nets Daily News will be talking with some of the most intriguing prospects in this year’s class. Here is the complete transcript from our exclusive interview with Chris McCullough, the projected 29th overall pick in Sports Illustrated’s mock draft.

Ravi Shah: On January 11th, you suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and missed the remainder of the season. How is your recovery process going? When do you expect to get back on the court?

Chris McCullough: My recovery is coming along pretty smoothly. I’m on schedule and am getting healthier and stronger every day.

RS: How was your interview with the Brooklyn Nets? What kind of questions were you asked?

CM: The interview with the Brooklyn Nets went well. The Nets felt like home to me. I loved it. The questions I was asked were personal.

RS: How has Syracuse prepared you for the NBA?

CM: Even though my season at Syracuse was cut short, I learned that you always have to play every play like it is your last.

RS: In the 2014-15 season, you averaged 9.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks a game. How do you think your skills translate to the NBA?

CM: I think that a lot of my skills transfer to the NBA. I can run the floor, rebound, and have the size to be a good defender in the league. I can also shoot from long distance and have a solid face-up game. However, there are still aspects of my play that I can improve.

RS: What are some specific things that you really want to work on?

CM: I need to work on my ball handling skills and consistency.

RS: If you had to pick someone whose game you resemble, whom would you say?

CM: LaMarcus Aldridge.

RS: What is one thing you want the Nets organization and the fans here in Brooklyn to know about you?

CM: If I get drafted to the Brooklyn Nets, I want to bring home an NBA championship to my hometown.

Thank you for interviewing with Nets Daily News. We wish you the best of luck in the rest of your interviews and the NBA Draft.

UPDATE: Chris McCollough was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 29th pick in the 2015 NBA draft.
