Update on Brook Lopez
Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez is looking noticeably slimmer and has formally stated that there is “no question” that he will be ready to play at the beginning of this season.

At right around 275 pounds, the 7-footer is finally ready to suit up for his team for the first time since the end of 2013, when he suffered a serious foot injury.
Last Monday, Lopez began running and he has been hitting the court. He’s been looking like the old Lopez recently.
Here is what Lopez had to say at Coca-Cola’s sponsored event:
I’ve tried to remain positive. Finally being back is a great feeling. I’ve never been so excited to do little things like jump rope, stretch and run a little. But there’s no question I’m going to be ready to go at the beginning of the season.”
His progress is something for Nets fans to look forward. Expect Lopez to be the explosive player we remember when he enters the court for the first time this season.
