Nets top Knicks, extending win streak to 3
The Brooklyn Nets extended their winning streak to three with a 92–88 victory over their cross-town rivals, the New York Knicks.
The Nets led for a majority of the first half, but saw their double-digit lead turn into a deficit in the third quarter, where the team was outscored 25-15 by the Knicks. The Nets outscored the Knicks 24-18 in the fourth quarter to regain control of the game.
The Nets had a well-balanced attack with Jarrett Jack, Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, and Kevin Garnett all scoring double-digits. Lopez led the way with 22 points and Jack added 20 points, including a clutch 3-pointer to take a 90-86 lead leaving just 13.8 seconds.
For the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points, shooting 6/23 from the field.
I think it’s safe to say Brooklyn runs New York!
