Nets fall to Wizards, ending three-game win streak
The Nets looking for their fourth straight win in Washington on Saturday, but ultimately came up short, falling 114–77 to the Wizards.
The Nets trailed by 12 earlier in the first, and were unable to cut into the deficit during the first half. The Wizards led by 20 at the half.
In the third quarter, the Wizards took complete control of the game, stretching their lead to 28 by the end of the third quarter. From there, it was a stroll to the final buzzer.
Lionel Hollins sensed that the Nets “didn’t have energy and [that] carried over into the start of the game.”
For the Nets, Brook Lopez scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Deron Williams added 3 steals and 7 assists, but struggled to hit shots during the game.
For the Wizards, John Wall had 17 points and former-Net Kris Humphries added 11 rebounds.
The Nets look to bounce back from that loss against the Bucks at BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
