Prokhorov: “Make no mistake — We're here to win”
Nets Principal Owner Mikhail Prokhorov has some encouraging words for Nets fans.
In a short video released today, Prokhorov touched on the reoccurring narrative that is the team’s familiar front court: the resigning of Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young. He also mentioned that expectations are high for Bojan Bogdanovic — as well as the team’s new-found youth and athleticism — calling their overall off-season approach “more strategic.”
“We had a really good off-season,” Prokhorov said. “Better than a lot of people expected. Without a lot of noise, we got a lot done.”
And, just in case anyone forgot about his pledge to get married if the Nets failed to win a Championship within the last 5 years, Prokhorov announced that although he wouldn’t be tying the knot soon, the baton would be passed along to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver instead.
