Andrei Kirilenko out 7–10 days with back injury

The preseason is less than two weeks away and the Brooklyn Nets have already been plagued by injury.

Kirilenko suffered a back injury during practice on Saturday and is expected to sit out 7 to 10 days. Although this is not the news Nets fans wanted to hear, it is good that Kirilenko is sitting out now and not during the middle of the season. The first preseason game for the Nets is on October 7th against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Hollins will most likely sit Kirilenko as a precautionary matter. However, a source within the Nets organization stated that Kirilenko came into training camp in tremendous shape, unlike last season.

Hollins stated he is unconcerned about the injury. Hopefully,Kirilenko is able to get healthy before the season starts.
