Nets Nets say no deal in works to trade Andrei Kirilenko

Andrei Kirilenko is currently not in the Nets rotation. There are various contending teams that could use the veteran small forward’s services. So it would make sense that there are rumors that he may be traded and not stay with the Brooklyn Nets.

Kirilenko is currently dealing with a family issue and that is limiting his travel with the team, which also also limits his trade value. So, as of right now there is no trade that is likely to happen. Here is what Nets GM Billy King has told Andy Vasquez of the Bergen Record.

He hasn’t been playing,” Nets general manager Billy King said. “And we had talked about possibly … moving him. Nothing is happening.”

Andrei Kirilenko has said his family issue will continue until February. That being said, Kirilenko did return to practice today. It remains to be seen what Kirilenko status with the team is.
