Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez is expected to opt out of his contract for the 15-16 season, according to most executives.
Lopez has been playing extremely well recently, receiving the Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for each of the past two weeks.
This season, Lopez is averaging 17.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks.
Injuries have plagued Lopez throughout his career, but he’s managed to remain healthy this season.
