Lopez scores 26, as Nets cruise past the Wizards

Brook Lopez scored 26 points on 8/14 shooting in only 23 minutes of action, helping the Brooklyn Nets end a seven-game losing streak with an 102-80 victory over the Washington Wizards Friday night in Washington, D.C.

Jarrett Jack added 26 points and 7 assists for the Nets, who won for just the third time in the past ten games by outplaying the Wizards in the the final three quarters of the game. Mason Plumlee added a double-double of his own, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

At the end of the first quarter, the Brooklyn Nets trailed 24-18. In the final three quarters, the Nets outscored the Wizards 74-56, who only lost for the fifth time at Verizon Center.

For the Wizards, John Wall scored a team-high 13 points, dished out 6 assists, and added 2 steals. The Wizards turned the ball over 19 times, which ultimately led to their collapse in the second half of the game.
