Sacremento Kings

Every piece the desk filed on Sacremento Kings, newest first.

3 pieces, filed between and

An index, and an honest one. There are 3 pieces under the label “Sacremento Kings”, and the list holds all of them — nothing left out to keep the page tidy, nothing added to make it look fuller than it is.

Everything on the list was filed in 2014. The dates under the headlines are the dates the pieces went up and they have not been touched since: an archive that quietly re-dates itself is worth less than one that admits how old it is.

New work on this side of the site goes to Nets rather than onto names like this one. The desk carries 130 pieces, and the section index lists the other seven with their counts.

There is no editorial layer on this page at all — no rating, no ranking, no note steering you towards one item over another. The order is chronological and that is the whole of it.

Trading D-Will to the Kings doesn’t make sense

What are the Nets thinking as an organization? Nowadays, no one knows. Going into Brooklyn, the plan was to put together a team that could compete right off the bat and make the playoffs for the first time since 2006-07 season.
