Are Garnett's days as a starter coming to an end?

Since January 27,1996, Kevin Garnett hasn’t come off the bench. Kevin Garnett has started 1,519 consecutive games. However, his days as a starter may be coming to an end.

Although Garnett hasn’t performed well and is averaging 5.1 points, 5.2 rebounds in 17.4 minutes, he still continues to start for the Brooklyn. On Friday night’s heartbreaking loss to the Raptors, Garnett played just 9 minutes and only scored one points. Brook Lopez, who is coming off the bench for the Nets, scored 35 points, grabbed 12 boards, blocked 3 shots, and added 3 steals.

“Yes, it’s just a coach’s decision.”

Hollins will now have to decide whether to start Lopez or Mason Plumlee over the 20-year veteran. Although he is not the same player he once was, Garnett is still a leader on the court and remains calm even when all seems lost.
