Analysis: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has all the physical tools he needs to become an elite defensive player in the NBA. Mix that with his quick feet, and uninhibited intensity, and we could be looking at a future Defensive Player of the Year candidate in 4-5 years. At Arizona, he had success guarding a myriad of players at different positions, ranging from Delon Wright (a point guard) to Frank Kaminsky (a center). In addition to RHJ’s defensive prowess, the forward can also rebound the ball well because of his strength and athleticism. Hollis-Jefferson uses his strength to power his way to the basket, showcased by his 56% finishing rate through traffic.
