Nets Win First Game in Lionel Hollins Era
The Brooklyn Nets recorded their first win in the Lionel Hollins era with a 102–90 victory over the Pistons.
In the first half, the Nets dominated the box score, outscoring the Pistons 59-47.
In the third quarter the team?s defense lacked and the Pistons were able to get within a few points from the lead. But, the Nets took control of the game late in the fourth and held on to the lead.
Overall, the Nets did pretty good today. Joe Johnson scored 34 points, picked up 8 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists which accounts for his double-double. Deron Williams scored 15 points and dished out 6 assists as well. Kevin Garnett, a 20 year veteran, is not going down without a fight; he crashed the glass and picked up 14 rebounds! Mason Plumlee did well today too, scoring 10 points and having 5 assists. If the Nets keep this up, it looks like they will keep winning games.
